Coronavirus spike in Czech Republic forces cancellation of Brno race

Next weekend’s round of the TCR DSG Europe endurance series at the Automotodrom Brno has sadly been cancelled, due to a spike in cases of the coronavirus pandemic, meaning travel to and from the region has been restricted.

With the travel restrictions and heightened risk of infection, it was deemed as not viable to hold the event, with a number of the teams unable to participate and therefore the minimum entry criteria not reached.

The series plans to continue with the remainder of its calendar, with the next round now scheduled at the Mugello circuit on October 3rd-4th.

It will also be evaluated as to whether to replace the Czech round with another race at a date in the future.
